The Laughing Mirror

September 1, 2030 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm Raffles Theatre

In an age where technology rules and modern-day predicaments are many, “The Laughing Mirror” offers a hysterical reflection on contemporary life. The play centers around Nora, a tech-savvy millennial, and her hilariously relatable misadventures, from dating app disasters to the perils of being ‘cancelled’ in the age of social media.

Joining her is a cast of eccentric characters: her conspiracy-theorist roommate, her technophobe boss, and a digital assistant that seems a little too sentient for comfort. As Nora navigates this maze of modern woes, she embarks on a quest for genuine connection in an increasingly digital world.

Each scene, filled with biting wit and satirical jabs, takes a comedic lens to the nuances of today’s society. Yet, beneath the laughter, “The Laughing Mirror” subtly delves into deeper themes of loneliness, identity, and the quest for authenticity in a curated world. Prepare to laugh, ponder, and see your own reflections in this uproarious comedy.
